The Now-Irrelevant 2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

i hope we have a man u win tomorrow

Erm...kind of hoping for an Everton win myself. :hayee:

If he lands at Leicester they'll stay up.

Get the feeling the run ends next year, even if it's just one team staying up. Think Leeds will have the best chance in a few years of doing it. If Sunderland can sneak it I could see them making a decent fist too.
I think so too. It just takes a mini run of form from one of them. Hopefully it shouldn't bother us either way. I dont like Leeds but I'd give them a slight chance.

Would still be above Leicester on GD if Dyche hadn't been sacked and continued to lose every single game since.

That's how bad Van Nistelrooy has been. He'll probably get sacked in the next week but it's too late for them now as their players just gave up tonight as soon as it went 1-0 and been the same in every game for them bar Spurs away in last two months.
If we had lost every game we would have lost to them and been in the relegation zone currently,

Whilst I agree about Leeds it's just who drops out. Brentford and Bournemouth look stable under their current managers. Wolves perhaps look the weakest but a few decent players and they may be able to gap the clubs coming up.

Just looked at April's fixtures, for us. So glad we sacked Dyche.

Said on 14th, that I didn't think all 3 of Ipswich, Wolves and Leicester would reach 30 points, we subsequently beat Palace. I'm sticking with it.

We're so far out a relegation scrap, it almost feels weird. First time in years I've wanted a team in the relegation zone to win.

what a lovely thread to read. The current bottom 3 go down, which is a shame because Leicester is always the biggest away allocation.

Your manager couldn’t even beat that Leicester side and also lost to Southampton.

We were definitely going down.
Lost to Southampton twice. Yes, one was a cup game on penalties but they’re a garbage team and he allowed it to get that far……at Goodison. That should have been dealt with in the first 20 mins.

We may not have been relegated, but that is the position in the league we would always occupy with a manager like that, making relegation a possibility every season until it eventually happened.

Couldn't be more pleased to see them getting stuffed tonight. "Champions of England you'll never sing that" from a club who's previous claim to fame was selling Gary Lineker to us. Threatening to sue us for breaking rules that they knew they had broken too. Back to obscurity with them, hopefully with a few months of Sean Dyche to help them on their way.
I’m definitely not defending Leicester here but they sing “champions of England you made us sing that” in reference to their owner who died in the helicopter crash. But on everything else your right, and they also sung vardy has won more than us, because they believe football was only invented during the launch of the premier league.
