The Now-Irrelevant 2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

See the commentator was desperate to try and involve Everton in the relegation scrap argument there in Liverpool Vs. Wolves

"Lots of teams in and around Wolves also battling for survival who Wolves will face on March and April....

Everton, Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton all to come, where Vitor will be desperate to get some points".

Didnt mention West Ham, Spurs or United who were above tho 😂😂

We're looking up sorry.

This picture tells a very hopeful tale. We have pulled away from the relegation zone, but the teams that were around us have hardly picked up any points at all. Can’t see any of them going on the kind of run that would put us in any trouble.

Hopefully my friends said the same to me think i just want it confirmed, is more because of the past few seasons going close made me this way. I do feel more confident just back of my mind is still looking.

Which is why I have been saying for the last 3 years, it doesnt matter what the other teams do, it only matters what we do.

People spending their weekends praying no mark teams get beat was crazy.

It is a tough time feeling joy when that’s how it’s been for so long. Always looking down and hoping other clubs lose instead of up and controlling your own destiny.

The bottom clubs would need an impossible turn around in form that just won’t happen. Like Ipswich. They show flashes and then give it up in the second half or can’t hold a lead. If they didn’t have Delap they’d be down in the basement with Southampton.

A comparison table came up on my Insta feed showing Bournemouth rise and after 25 games in 22/23 they were only on 21 points. Think Forest were similar. Both had really strong Aprils and were both safe before final day so it can happen.

Leicester have Southampton and Ipswich at home in final four games so they're probably the best bet of to get around 30/31 points in the end.

Fair point. Of the teams at the bottom I think Ipswich would be the most likely to go on a run. That’s why we need to keep picking up points and stacking wins.
