The Now-Irrelevant 2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

At least there are, once again, a few teams a lot worse than us.

Which is very impressive.
A lot? By a few do you mean Southampton? A team that's beat us twice already this season (not suggesting they're better than us as they're clearly finishing in 20th, but it's a measure of how bad we are). We are every bit as bad as Leicester, and Wolves are probably better than us which will prove itself by the end of the season imo. We're 1 point what if Ipswich, and they can score goals.

It’s between us, wolves, Ipswich and Leicester for the other 2 spots, I think that’s a given.

I honestly don’t see how we stay up being the only team who can’t score a goal,

They are really poor teams, but if any of them put a run together we are going to struggle to respond. Good thing is I doubt they will.

There's a good chance we'll be relying on City getting a >40 point deduction or just instant relegation. I can only see us finishing above Ston and Leicester.

Leicester and Southampton are useless and have sacked useless managers to be replaced by useless managers (at this level). They're both down.

Ipswich and Wolves both showing signs of life. Ipswich have been competitive but struggled to get wins (first home win the other week) and Wolves a bit of a new manager bounce but still having to play catch up from a terrible start. We've got to be finishing above one of them with Moyes back.

We had 15 pts at this point in 22/23 having played a game more, and we stayed up. Meant to be a better squad than then so think we should stay up.

Our last 11 games, we haven’t scored in 9. When you actually think about that, it’s staggering how bad we are going forward, the recruitment has been absolutely negligent.

On current form and what I've seen lately, I can’t agree with this. Southampton, Leicester and ourselves are the worst teams in the league. Things can change very quickly though and hope they do.
