Who's head of the queue to play when the first team have 28 players out injured? Who's gonna be the player to fully take their chance by proving they should be in the first team after scoring 3 goals in 2 minutes away to arsenal, then get sold to bristol rovers anyway.

Am i wrong in saying that we don't have any players in the U21 squad for England?

That's right. The new lad Stones, Lundstrum and Hope have all been in the under 19 squad. Not that this means much, as the England squad from the under 19 Euros in 2009 isn't exactly a Who's Who

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_UEFA_European_Under-19_Football_Championship_squads#_England

Only Kyle Walker and Danny Welbeck have progressed from that squad to even regular PL action let alone full honours.

Phil Neville.

Moyes will send him to the Milan lab in hope that they'll turn him in a twenty year old and he'll be with us FOREVER.

Apart from Rodwell and Barkley we've not had players in the U21 squad for effing ages.
Quiz: Who is the last player other than those two to have featured for us in the U21's?
I have no idea what the answer is, btw.

The future is indeed bright then? Actually, I'm off to drink some bleach as I fancy a quicker and less painful death than I would experience while watching Neville punting the ball around for the next few years.

Of the young strikers, we have Hallam Hope, Chris Long and George Green.
Hope is from City, Green from Bradford, Long is local.

Hope's contract runs out in the summer, but he is the one of the most regular starters up front for the Ressies/U21's. This together with McAleny and Forrester - the latter was just sold to Blackburn.
I think we can take it as a big sign that George Green already has a pro deal signed (signed a month ago according to the OS), though he hasn't had much time in the ressies. Conversely, he's one of the youngest of the lot.
But considering how we'd rather play Vellios, Chebe, Mirallas or even Naismith alone up front i doubt their chances of debuting.

Johan Hammar and John Lundstram are in the frey often in other positions though, so if anyone is to come through for real there it just should be one of these guys. Putting my money on Lundstram.

I REALLY WISH MOYES WOULD GROW A PAIR AND GIVE THE KIDS A FEW MINS HERE AND THERE.
WE LOOK SO FLAT AT THE MOMENT, JUNIOR,GREEN,KENNEDY HOPE ETC COULD ALL COME ON WITH 5 MINS TO GO AND CHANGE THINGS A LITTLE - ADD A LITTLE FLAIR PERHAPS.

OTHER MANAGERS DO IT FFS

......can't really see anybody coming through in the very near future. Moyes tends to tinker if we get injuries, moving Jags to RB and Distin the other side. Only seen snippets of Green but he looks very useful, his time might well come. I've watched more of Lundstrom and liked him. Big, strong lad useful with both feet and a good dig on him....I thought he might've been on the periphery by now. Kennedy is another who I haven't seen but heard good reports about.
