Zatara

Player Valuation: £100m
Does it start next season ?

If so how much extra does it give clubs per season -- is it based on TV appearances as well as a flat fee or linked to premier league position ?

As we seem to borrow from next years tv money every season -- does this mean that this summer we can in affect borrow more meaning a higher transfer kitty ?

Season after next I think. Once the overseas one is done and dusted estimates are about £30m per season. Which is brilliant for us as this is the only way we can make an extra shilling.

So 30mil per club per season -- any idea how much of an increase that is ?

I'm assuming a 5mil increase would see us breakeven every year....in laymans terms.

As somebody else pointed out in another thread, Players agents will use this and basically any increase will only go to them.

Its not like we will benefit at all.

Perhaps, however any increase with borrowing a year in advance will give us some more room to manouvre in the market.

Yeah, it starts in the 2013-2014 season. Not sure about how the money is split but the deal is £1.254 billion more than the last deal (over 3 seasons). If you divided 1.254 by 3 and then split it evenly between 20 clubs, you get £20.9 million per club per year. There's probably some overhead though and the split is never quite even.

The problem is that all teams in the Premier League will improve financially. Our relative position in the league probably won't change much (although Moyes might be better able to take advantage of this increase than other managers). One other thing to note is that when turnover goes up for all clubs like this, players' wages and transfer fees will eventually rise to fill the gap.

However, the Premier League as a whole will be in a better financial position when compared to other European domestic leagues (and, thus, will be better off in competitions like the Champions League).

That would mean we had clever people in charge at the top, we dont.

Just wait and see mate. If we have any money this summer it will be due to that, they'll be trying to keep Moyes.

They're proven themselves to be adept at going after short term benefits that hamper us long term. It's a shoe in.

Absolutely this.
