I have been doing some thinking, dangerous i know, but i just wanted to write a few things down and compare some figures. A lot of my figures are plucked from my head and a lot of made up, but when we all join up the dots we might have a decent figure we can work with.

I have used figures for the last 2 years :

Incoming :

Sky TV (30m a year) = 60m
Prem PrizeMoney = 40m
Sponsorship (Chang 8m over 3 years) = 5m
Gate reciepts = 30m (Based on 1997 figure of 13m***)
Merchardising =12m (Based on 1997 figure of 3.6m***)
Transfers : AJ12m,Faddy5m = 17m

Outgoing :

Wages = 80m!!!!!!!
Transfers : Howard3m,Baines5m,Jags4m,Pienaar3m,Yak11m =26m

So without using a calculator and baring in mind my god awful maths and also some leeway with regards to my figures, this is what i have. Also we should bare in mind that i READ that we lent the money for The Yak from Robert Earl? Or some1!! The loans we have should be getting paid for by season ticket sales, but i dont how it works with us having to pay overdraft interest and also other loans Bill has got from his mates.

But anyway, i reckon we got 58m left in our kitty!!!!!!

Read,Digest and comment, ive pointed out my figures MIGHT be wrong, so positive comments are welcome.

I doubt many clubs use their gate reciepts etc to buy players, i'd think that would go back to the club to pay fee's to keep stadiums tidy and that?

I'm not one for all of the incoming and outgoing funds so I'll go with you on this one.

Bruce Wayne could probably do a bit more indepth for us to confirm your numbers... (y)

I dont have a clue, it was just stated we had 12 outstanding loans.

Probably not including all the wages given out to stewards, police money for matchdays etc

Always the intangibles and the prior debt to be exhausted. The main thing is we have been competing at a higher level and being rewarded as such so the tipping point should be pretty near.

I have full confidence the Dark Knight(great movie) Bruce is on top of it.(y)

Well yes i didnt include this, but i also didnt include matchday sponsorship, stadium sponsorship, matchday revenue with regards to pies and beer.

Cos some1 is pocketing the money!!! Or my figures are way off.
Or maybe you have no idea how much money we generate, how much is spent on running the club, and how much profit we make and are just completely and totally off the mark when it comes to these estimates because you are making it much simpler than it actually is.

I think some clubs use sky money, like Fulham and Sunderland said they will, but some clubs use it for other things, so i dont think many take it for granted as being their to spend.
