If you want some good music that is not MOR or in the charts, look into these two bands.

Both awesome. Frightened Rabbit are my favourite. He are some lyrics for a song called "Backwards Walk" The are also out of this world live.

Frightened Rabbit - Winter of Mixed Drinks is up there in my top album list over the past year

As is Doves - Kingdom of Rust (well each and everyone of their albums has always been)

I will give this new band a listen

Nice to see that someone else has heard of this band. Was never really a fan of the Doves but maybe i didnt really give them a chance. What is the best album that they have done. Only heard the last broadcast

Go back to the Last Broadcast and give it another whirl.....at the time, I only liked Pounding, Caught by the River (ie the singles) thought the rest was a bit "out there"....but gone through it again, and it now kind of makes sense. Classic album. Probably my favourite song of there's in Cedar Room off the first album. Probably not for most people, but classic Doves there. The 3rd and 4th album are also top stuff, I'm obviously quite a fan, ha

As far as singles go, Black and White Town, Pounding, Cedar Room, Caught by the River, Kingdom of Rust, Winter Hill, Words, There goes the Fear! Must needs all round!! =)

Same here. A friend is making me a mix CD and she's putting something from "Some Cities" on there, which she says is their best, so I'm going to check them out more. I did like "Last Broadcast" but for some reason I never kept up with them.
