Given our perilous position. We should be worried. I'm not worried, I think it's exactly what we need.

At least there will be a good atmosphere. The fingernail biters can feel relaxed for a change.

I don't think we need to be worried. Not saying we'll definitely win or anything, but if we play the way we did against Villa we should do okay.

this one I truly believe we can win, they wont sit back and defend as much as the teams we have already played,
that could give us the space we need to get beckford into the game,
better still saha.

would love the Yak or Anichebe to play and get a hatrick,
that would set the cat among the pigeons,

then our season would come alive

If our midfield stopped running sideways and passing backwards, then yes, we might have a chance. But two years in a row against Man Utd? I suppose it has to happen some time...

No reason why we can't beat them unless we fail to to score.

If you need me to state the obvious at any public speakings, events etc, my fees are available.

Got to believe that if the lads can't get up for this one, going to be a rough go this season.

The win last year has to give them all confidence - wouldn't be suprised to see Rodwell in the lineup here.

Someone's gonna lay into someone to jumpstart the season a la Neville into Ronaldo from a few years back.

My guess is Heitinga smashing someone in red. Anyone.

His name is Rio and he hoofs it in the stand

Rio Ferdinand is fit enough to start Manchester United's next Premier League game, according to the Red Devils' reserve team boss Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.

The 31-year-old made his return to action on Wednesday evening as he completed 45 minutes of a reserve-team fixture against Oldham Athletic.

Ferdinand has been unavailable for selection since picking up a knee ligament injury during England's World Cup training camp at Rustenburg in June.

But now Solksjaer believes the centre-back is ready to make a return to first-team action in United's next fixture - away to Everton in the Premier League on September 11.

"I think he has progressed well in the last week," Solksjaer said. "He is training hard and we are happy with him, he has had no reaction whatsoever. I don't think [he needs another reserve game]. He is naturally fit, he is going to train with the first team and he'll be ready for selection now.

"He's fit now, match fitness is a different thing, [so] if the manager wants to put him straight in I don't know, it's up to Rio and the manager if they want to give him more minutes."

Brazilian midfielder Anderson, who missed the end of last season after suffering knee ligament damage in February, completed 90 minutes in the Oldham fixture - but Solksjaer was more cautious when asked if he would be in contention to face Everton.

"He's coming along nicely but of course he's had a lot of hard rehab after the knee injury," he said. "He's only been at the club for three weeks, but he lasted 90 minutes and looked fresher towards the end - so that was positive."

Great news for us, this over-rated blert will get reamed a new one and exposed for the bag of shoite that he is.
