The line up and substitutions

From the extended highlights on Sky, Mirallas was one of our main threats in the first half. Shouldv'e done better with one chance but was always looking to get on the ball and cause problems. Went missing in the 2nd half and McGeady came on and did well, eventually creating the winner.

I think the subs were right, but because of the 1st goal and when the subs were made, made it look a bit odd,for me Deulofeo defo should have been off way before he did come off.

Osman should never start a game for us again, he is beyond terrible. Anytime I see his name in our starting line up it disheartens me.

Cardiff showed him up yesterday for the absolutely woeful footballer he is. If we want to progress as a club then players like Leon Osman have to go.

Osman was the best of a poor 11 in the first half, despite being asked to play wider left than usual to compensate for the absence of Pienaar. His last 15 minutes were awful.

Oman's performance was a complete joke yesterday, and why it took RM 80 minutes to replace him, was an unbelievable mistake on RM part.

Oman has the odd good game, but is a player that can change a game (like he did at Villa Park this season).

Like other have suggested, please play Osman in for the last 20 minutes.

I am not a fan of Osman and Pienaar playing at the same time. They have no pace and cannot hit teams on the break.

Was Mirallas really THAT bad? I'll admit I only watched the first half fleetingly but he looked like he worked the keeper and of course made some wrong decisions, but all our players are guilty of that.

No, he wasn't that bad, was a threat in the first half, lost the ball occasionally but nothing bad enough to justify all the criticism he seems to be getting. Deulofeu was in my opinion much more wasteful and lost the ball pretty much every time he tried to move forwards and I was hoping he'd be taken off, but then he scored about 30 seconds later so what do I know.

Mirallas flatters to deceive. His runs look earnest and with great intent. The outcomes are usually zero.
He's also not someone you'd want beside you in the trenches. After his performance at Arsenal he should never have been in the side yesterday ahead of Barkley.

I think he was trying to show some faith in Ossy yesterday, some type of psychology on him.

Gerard & Mirallas were not great, but I would have kept Gerard on, try and use some of the confidence he would have got from the goal, to go at Cardiff.

Cant fault most of his selections & subs this season though, its very refreshing.

Deulofeo was not having a good game at all and IMO deserved to come off regardless of scoring or not. Mirallas is getting some harsh treatment, he is not up to the standards we have seen previously but he is still dangerous and probably our most dangerous player. If we had another striker it would be Rom that would be getting hauled off more often than not. Rom has looked very average to me recently. Martinez is the manager for a reason and who are we to question his subs without hindsight. Sometimes they work out and sometimes they don't. At least he is more proactive than the previous manager and not making subs in the last 5 minutes when chasing a game. Moyes rarely made subs to change a game plan if we were not losing

We're 6th in the league and look likely to finish 5th thus qualifying for Europe for the first time in four seasons, having given Martinez a negative net spend in his first year in charge.

He made subs which ended up winning us the game.

I'm not really that arsed tbh.
