"I'm proud to have had Rafael as our manager. When I look back, I think what a great appointment it was, and how close it came to all going right. Even though it didn't, he gave us brilliant nights, and made good players great. That's expertise. Look at all the players he got games out of even when they knew they were leaving. Dudek, Cisse, Mellor, Pongolle, Carson, Djimi, Smicer, Biscan - the list goes on and on, yet apparently he can't man manage?
The guy is one of the best managers in the world, and he'd have given the best managers of any age a game, yet count down the Premier League, and with the exception of ourselves - (and that with reservations, for various reasons) - no-one wants him, no-one seems even to rate him as a manager.
What goes on with these people? Do they not want their clubs to succeed? English football, the old up and at em once again, puff, kick, boot, puff, kick, boot.
I want to see Rafael's smile when he wins trophies, cos that's what a manager of his brilliance should have the opportunity to do. I hope he does go to Europe to do it, because I don't want him beating us. I'd love to see him kicking the **** of Chelsea, and the Mancs again. I'd love to see the English football establishment try and explain it all away yet again.
