the left side problem

I think Mirallas will be back after the break so him on one side and McGeady on the other will be grand at least until January as long as we don't get anymore injuries.

If not we need to play a diamond.

As and when mirallas is fit, would put him on left and mc geady on the right, to make most of our rampaging full backs on the overlap. True that pienaar works best with baines but would like to see a faster and more direct style. Too slow at the minute methinks.

I wouldn't have thought so mate, but martinez appears to have no faith in him
Not necessarily. Deulofeu didn't play a lot early on in the season and either has Besic. Deulofeu was trusted with a lot of games towards the end of the season where ironically he wasn't probably at his best.

I think Martinez is a big believer of seniority and he will have to force his way into the team through performances when he gets the chance. Unfortunately he hasn't done that and I think it's also the desire to find a place for Eto'o, Naismith and Barkley whom he probably sees as 3 of our better players in the team.

Anyway.....

Has anyone mentioned Fabian Delph? The paper is saying he might be going to Spurs in January. Surely he would be perfect and on a free or almost free too.

someone made a point earlier that Aiden often hogs the sideline and doesnt drift in enough, and that makes colemans effect down the right ineffective. cant wait for kev to come back. he is literally one of our best players. i think eto out right and kev on left or the other way around could be a potent move. but i think eto in the middle is the best place for him. i think rom out right has its positives too

We must have sold half the team today if that's the case.

Deulofeu, had made an impression at this stage, the carling cup game i think when we first saw he could be an option, and at this point was at least a useful impact player, like you say the squad has a different shape now, but I think Martinez is going to start having to make some tough decisions, because we are sacrificing our shape at the moment, though if he doesn't trust Atsu, with Mirallas and pienaar out we are short of options their anyway
