:@ does anyone use a USB (universal serial bus) connector for their pc/laptop and if so do they encounter any problems with it and if not could they recommend a good network that won;t go off every fricking four minutes or that they can use any time other than say midnight to 3am when mine works best or I can get something done.

I use a '3' network and this must be a pretty poor one as during most times the signal goes off, it could be 30 seconds, 3 minutes, 30 minutes or (after midnight) any of those to three hours, this is getting to an stage now where it is getting on my t1ts no end, and it happened again about twenty minutes ago, just as I was about to reply to the Jagielka break in story, just to add insult to injury.

Point being, this is the fourth time tonight I have had to log in to GOT as the damn connection has gone off, it may happen again but as it's near 1am it may be in the 'safe zone' so I will give it another go, I dare not look to see if it is still there, I have had another of that crap now.

Please can anyone suggest a decent network that won't go off every two minutes or does not take an age to find pages, maybe I'm a bit slow, we didn';t have all this technology when I was at school, perhaps it's just as well. I know it runs through a phone line and may be subject to jams (in the daytime mostly) due to other use of other USB'S but if anyone can suggest a better model/network to use or how to prevent signal loss every so often which really p1sses me off as I have to shut down and restart.

the USB connector is situated high up near the ceiling as it should be for maximum performance but even then that doesn't help much, sometimes I feel like throwing the whole system through the nearest window. I am getting quite tired of this "nonsense".

any help or re-directing I would be grateful. :@:rant:rcard

I'll look into that, this 3 network is total crap and I have almost come to the end of my tether with constant signal loss and I'm only here now because I can't get onto Everton forums any other time of the day, helps being a bit of an insomniac, but it still sucks by my estimation.

Furthermore, the time I buy is absurd.

I can have 30 hrs for £10, or 100 hours for £15. :dodgy:

the first I would have to use one hour a day a month, the latter works out about having to use more than ineed I forget what it's too late and i'm not in a right frame of mind for simple arithmetic, but what I really need is 50 hours, one option is too much the other too little.

That said it's all rather irrelevant as I can't get much use out of it with this constant signal crap.

Any more network suggestions or similar tales of woe i would be grateful to hear. It's a damn miracle it's remained intact for - 53 minutes now, the best today.

I third virgin media. Basically anything but 3 broadband, i used to use their mobile broadband and it was crap, plus the bastards ripped me off as well!

Taking my Computer with me, and they have basic net connections, just not glorious Virgin Media. So I'll still be harrassing you on here.

It takes so long to get anywhere that It's gone four pages into history as i couldn't see it before.

Shouldn't laugh really, went into Currys last week for enquiries, and they said try Vodafone I think it was, 39.99 but it's only one gigabyte but coverage is far better, less hassle, and there is no 30 day used date, which with my network I have to abide by, which makes it damn difficult when I can't use it sometime anyway.

This 3 connect I use stinks, worked pretty much fine at first, but as the weeks have gone by it's got progressively worse, and I patience is not my best virtue, have a tendency to snap when all not going well, and once the credit runs out on this I will get the USB and chop it into firewood and go out and purchase a Vodafone or Virgin connector, anything for a bit of peace of mind. This has gone on long enough,

so remember, stay away from three, damn awful crap. :@
