We've got the 4th best defence in the league believe it or not. They've all played their part — Jags, Johnny, Distin and Duffy — but 'tinga's been the best of the bunch. Him and Distin are formidable as a pair.

Jags should have to wait for his chance now, as Heitinga himself had to do. He should not go straight back in.

He won't drop Jonny, I dont think. I think he might drop/rest Distin for the Sunderland game, citing his age and the need to prevent fatigue as the reason.

We should keep the same team, certainly the same back 4 and just thank our lucky stars that we have 3 excellent CBs. With Duffy and potentially Rodwell the future looks bright.

jesus. Three uninterrupted weeks without him calling in the media for Bayern to sign him and he should be Everton captain.

I don't think so.

For the last time in the 10th Johnny/jags/Distin thread of the month....

It will be Johnny and jags next season. With Distin as 3rd choice but will still see plenty of action.

Johnny for me has been amazing the past 2-3 months not really put a foot wrong. But the thing is Distin is 34 and that is an old age for a regular playing CB as much as a ROCK Sylvain is. For me it has to be Heitinga for captain simply because he is always communicating with everyone, He trys to get the crowd going and simply because he is amazingly on form. Jagielka on the other hand I rarely see communicate with anyone or if he does he looks around at others on his own mistakes unlike Johnny if he makes a mistake he will be furious at himself. If we had to sell Jagielka in the summ I would now take that option what we get £10-15M on him and go buy an' experianced young 22-25ish CB who can take over from Sylvain. And with the Neville deal I reckon his time is coming to an end I think he should just turn into a player coach by now that meaning he plays games but he only plays on the odd ocasion abit like the Davie Weir deal we have just got :) Thats my veiws and if you have read all this you must be a die hard Blue! COYB!
