"According to the artist currently known as Prince, 'The internet's completely over.' At least that what he says in an interview with the British newspaper Mirror. Quoting Prince: 'The internet's like MTV. At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated. Anyway, all these computers and digital gadgets are no good. They just fill your head with numbers and that can't be good for you.'"

He's right. Everyone unplug there computers right now and go to the library. Especially you Chico.

They got that pornography at the library?

The internet will never die for that reason alone.

I am slightly worried you have never been to a library. Please don't turn up with a bog roll and high hopes. they may kick you out.

The interweb will last forever....

Actually, I patronize the Chicago Public Library quite regularly. Nice system they've set up - can go on online, order the books, CD's, videos, etc... and they'll transfer it to the branch closest to my house and then e-mail me when they're ready to be picked up.

Try to read a fair number of books recommended by the Economist - just finished "American Rust" by Phillipp Meyer (decent read about youth and disintegration of economy and culture in Pennsylvania steel towns) and now onto "The Cash Nexus" by Niall Ferguson. Third Ferguson book I've read (others are "The Ascent of Money" and "Empire") - both very solid reads.

Just can't order online pornography at the CPL. At least not yet....
