McBain
Player Valuation: £80m
As we enter the Sixth Year of Our Grand Old Lord, I think it's time to Stop, Collaborate possibly, and Listen.
We sit back with our brand new invention, The Internet, getting to know people in an entirely different way.
I've been thinking about this since I invented McBain back in 2002. I always loved the seemingly unlimited creative possibilities of having an online Alter Ego, and was horrified at the thought of connecting my real self to the system. I had used McBain in other forums, and became too lazy or just too used to this one. Living exactly as far away as possible, and in the alternate Timezone to the Source gives you all the tools you need to be elusive. But as things evolve, so do we. Another Filmy Forum I was part of back then was sensational for Banter, as the participants were of a Straighter Ilk to here. But as of now the pages are no longer up. Does that mean all those voices and Ideas are lost, or is the idea to create ever more perfect expanding concentric circles rather than to chase the old ones?
Is the point merely to entertain each other?
Or is the deeper, more personal interconnection that has us playing on an entirely new Level to which we are a part, Version 1.0, the original generation of Internet gangsters and wordsmiths.
Does Posting or even the thought of Posting give you Anxiety? I'll have to admit to deleting more posts than I've posted purely down to The Anxiety of it's Reception.
And where do you see not just this Forum, but the future of Socialising on the Internet?
