I couldn't find an open thread on Sunday league/11 a side football, please correct me if I'm wrong.

I play in the Chiswick and District League on Sundays and we are currently 2nd with a worldie goal difference. See below.

Anyone else play 11 a side? Recently I've been getting really bad headaches after the match. I thought it was probably dehydration but I've taken an extra effort to stock up on fluids and having done some googling decided that it could be down to repeated heading as I'm a centre half.

Kevin Doyle retired professionally for a similar reason I believe... Anyone else ever had anything like this?

I was playing 5-a-side three times a week for 7 years here, organising a group of more than 70 players and doing tournaments every two months....until I started having whatever injury issue I am having now. Driving me nuts not playing. One game in 6mths, but will hopefully have a scan soon and determine whether its my hip, groin or quad and what to do with it! In with the specialist on Friday morning.

Have played in some leagues here in Barcelona too. The weather and transport system makes it a cinch to find a game. You could easily play every evening if you wanted.

Barely played for years when in Ireland before this.

11 a side is a no go for me though.....I'm not fit enough to have as much of the ball as I'd like.

Can't say I've heard of that headache issue before, but sounds like something to get checked out thoroughly just to be safe.

My Sunday team plays in one of your leagues Vets divisions. In fact you might be quite close to me, I live in Whitton. Armenian Youth's vets team isn't much good either I don't think! :o

Haha oh really? Nice one man. I grew up in Whitton and all my mates are from round there hence still playing with them. I've moved into town recently but still spend a lot of time in the Nelson and Prince Albert pub.

Ah cool, I'm down the other end, round the corner from what was the Duke of York pub. Sadly closed now :(

I play in the Perth masters South Div 1. We have 4 teams and are always looking for new players if any of you are over 35 and fancy emigrating
