Will Cuff, Dick Searle, Bill Kenwright will shortly be the names of the only three chairmen that have presided over the relegation of Everton FC.
From the limited amount I can be arsed reading, Will Cuff was an inspirational figure in the clubs early days and had us promoted back up within a season. Dick Searle had us back up within a couple of seasons, and when he realised his finances were limited, had the good sense to involve and entice Sir John Moores into the club.
There is nothing suggesting either of the above two were largely absentee chairmen, or were so ****ing useless as to add no value or progression to the club by their tenure. Neither of them tried to move us to Cronton, St Helens or Kirkby etc. Strangely, neither viewed the club as a share purchase to be held purely as a saleable commodity, with the sole intent of extorting a massive return at the expense of the club's fortunes.
The End (beautiful friend)
