The 'hammers....

I can understand why some don't want a cup run but I see this as an opportunity to find some form and a bit of confidence. Fat sam usually plays a weakened team in cup games so we've got to take advantage of that. Must admit its tempting to swerve this game in the freezing cold but I'll be there as usual going through the torture. Please everton give me some encouragement because that was a grim christmas

It pains me to say something like this but I hope we don't get through. We need to concentrate on our League form and winning games, and with our upcoming fixtures, the FA Cup will just be a distraction. We will win 5-1 now

Allardyce changed ten or eleven players for the Forest cup tie last year & got thumped 4-0 I think it was. He got pilloried for it due to being down the wrong end of the league. This season he may do it again as the club think they have a chance of getting European football.

I can't get on board with the idea that Everton would be better off losing this game. This team needs a win - any win - above all else right now.

What the players need to do is concentrate on the next game and make sure they put their heart and soul into it. Let winning become a new habit, not losing. The rest then should take care of itself.

i think the reaction will come versus city, we will get stuck in and give them a game,we'll probably still lose, most would, but that may be our turnaround

I'd take any win right now...or any mention of Everton without the word 'nil' following it would be a start.
West Ham are a crap team on a good run...whereas Everton are a good team on a crap run...time to change this blues

I agree, Sam has previous for not taking the cup seriously and may well do so again with a place in europe a possibility for them through the league.

I have a horrible feeling that he will put out a weakened/ if we can get any weaker for this one. He has to start with Lukaka up front as he always scores against the hammers. Martinez might not want to have the distraction of a cup run at this time, but he has to get the fans back on his side.
