Going the flicks with the missus tonight these are the only 2 film on that we fancy. Any one seen them an can tell me anything about them. which should we see.....

or even warhorse any good?

HELP!!!

I had this exact same conundrum on Wednesday, only for my mate to let me down, the tit.

War Horse is meant to be excellent but you will be in the cinema for 3 hours including the adverts.

I'd probably go with The Grey, Liam Neeson fighting wolves sounds good, good survivalist stuff. Although the reviews are great for it, Chronicle looks like one of those films that is good for 90% of the film, then goes a bit far out with the Sci-Fi. Depends what kind of film you like really as they are quite different.

only seen clips of them but the grey is out for me coz i`ve got a phobia about CGI effects, warhorse looks like it would look fine on dvd off the telly so i would go for chronical

You've got a phobia of CGI effects so you'd go for Chronicle? The most CGI'd film of all time?

Chronicle - 7/10. Good up until the sh*t ending and a few things are left unexplained.

The Grey - 6/10. Liam Neeson's a great man but it's quite boring in parts.

Man On A Ledge - 9/10. Received fairly negative reviews from critics, but the film of the year so far for me. Go and see that, it's a belter. Decent story line, decent acting, boss effects, very tense and an unbelievably fit bird in leather.

I haven't even seen it or read the plot but I knew that was going to be the case. Have you ever seen "Knowing" with Nicolas Cage? I remember seeing the trailer for it and wanting to see it so badly. The film was good up until the last 20 minutes, what came after left me feeling a bit pissed off. Oh look, here comes a massive alien mothership with lovely flashing lights to take us all away, fan-fcuking-tastic.

Apparently War Horse is tear jerking, sobbing type of film that shows little of the true Horrors of WW1, swerve it unless you're in touch with your feminine side

The grey has Man V Wolves action and stuff, what more do you need

I took a girl to see this on a first date. It went fairly badly needless to say. It was good for the first half, and then it threw in every ridiculous thing it could think of, my personal favourite was Cage dropping to his knees and screaming NOOOOOO to the heavens whilst rain poured from the sky, classic ****e.

Yeah you're right, much more than 20 minutes of it was utter shite. It was a very strange film as a I was actually enjoyed it before it went that way. Haha, that bit was hilarious, I think I lol'd at the time, I just remember thinking "Oh ffs, he actually did that".

The worst thing for me is that I streamed it before cinema release as I was at a mates house who insisted on watching it, forgetting that I promised my other mate I would watch it in the cinema the following week, so I got to see it first time round in crap quality, then I got to relive the whole terrible experience in in HD Dolby 5.1 awfulness.

What ever you do, dont bother wasting your money on going to see 'The grey'...

It's propper Poo like.

Some really good bits but lots sn lots of boring ****e in between. very, very slow film...... 3/10

OK bit harsh, 4/10 is more like it!!!

i know its a contradiction what i said but wolves and cgi just dont work. i hate cgi stuff but it worked in the matrix which i loved........... btw my choice of chronical was by a process of elimination- i wouldnt go out of my way to see any of those films

The only way to describe Knowing is it's best not knowing.

The Grey is a proper let down - flits between a bit of action and lots of moody contemplation. The trailer doesn't give a true reflection on the type of film it is
