To narrow it down further, there is no clique, except ironically a small cluster of puppy pesterers who haven't told a joke in their lives and probably still slip a digit to next door's cat if it looks at them nicely

Red mate, he lasted a couple of months.
I know this because I reported him in his early days.

It's a tough job for the mods though because there are a lot of negative Blues in the world who could easily be mistaken for kopites on a wind-up, so the actual kopites tend to be given a long leash.

Having said that, there are occassions when a new poster comes on who's plainly on a wind-up, and it doesn't really matter if they're a Red or a Blue, they're just being deliberately disruptive.

We have some good long-standing posters who will go on the wind-up as a joke, but the intent is different there, and it's the intent which makes the difference.

i remeber when @Zatara turned up, just before the neg rep went. he got soooo blasted into oblivion, i think he was on minus 5000 or something daft after the first couple weeks, and was relentlessly hounded about being a kopite amongst other things, he actually did well to survive...

he took heat away from me, which i am eternally gratefull for!
