I remember an interview with Joe Kinnear Wimbledon manager years later saying he was in the team coach going into Goodison Road looking at the throngs of Evertonians and his quote,"Everton ain't going down"lol

Weird thing I remember about the Coventry game to this day,the atmosphere was like a morgue as the players warmed up and I was stood at the front of the street end expecting the worst. Next thing a fella runs down and unfurls a banner with a message written in French on it(no idea what it said)he shouts over to Micheal Madar who turns round reads the message and starts laughing his head off. I don't know what it was and it sounds stupid but from that moment on everything felt it was going to be alright.
