So there are oven chips, chips from your local chippy,the repulsive product that is microwave chips, or homemade deep fat fryer chips.

What's your favourable source of the Great British Chip ?

My choice is homemade deep fat fryer chips, nicely browned,with their skins still on.Though i've also had some decent oven chips lately.

Chip shop chips are just mush and all too often hit and miss.
 

Its got to be home made, beats them, all hands down.

Fried egg and home made chips is the greatest dinner of all time.

My local chippy is the bestest ever and they give you absolutely huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge portions.

Plenty of salt and vinegar and even more tomato sause and you cant go wrong.

Eaten out of the paper obviously.
 
oven chips taste better deep fat fried, however i had an incident where i hadnt quite turned a ring off on the hob and melted the arse out of my dff, the demise of many of them i reckon.

i love going the chippy but have decided to boycott my nearest one as they keep on serving up burnt offerings, yesterday was the final straw, burnt [Poor language removed] chips....ffs it must cost all of about 3p for the contents of a bag of chips, they could easily bin them and make some afresh, i wont be going in anymore, the redshite can eat his own burnt frazzles.

harry ramsdens is expensive but you dont get [Poor language removed] chips there.
 

I like chips.

Try those microwave ones in a butty with tomato sauce. [Poor language removed] astonishing in taste.

SUPERB.
 
Chips from a pizza place (Fries) with Cheese. When drunk obviously - when your not they just taste extremely fattening.

Quality not quantity, a handful of homemade chips are extremely satisfying.

How the hell does any chippie worth a damn actually burn their chips? In all my chip eating years ive never ever had the disastor that is burnt chips. Thank god.

Cheesy chips rule. Only oven chips though, whack some grated cheese on and let it melt, gorgeous. Especially curly southern seasoned fries.

Nah trust me my local chippie offer plenty of quality. Its just an added bonus they give you loads (y)

yes yes yes, (y)much better than sex - got to have thick bread and BUTTER to dip in the egg yolk and then make a chip butty.

apple crumble and custard for afters.(y)
