I won't lie, not a big fan of Christmas anymore, there was much more involvement many years ago, but relatives have either passed on or have re-located, was going away this year, but due to (minor) ill health in the family decided to stay at home, was a bit downhearted, still am, but it's for the best.
Thing is, I want it to be over with, and when it actually happens, and it's like Boxing day, I wish it was back, I can't welcome it and I miss it when it's over, then you have that strange week before the new year when you finish off the beverages and eat the stale nachos and cheese sticks and watch the (usual sub standard garbage) on TV, or don't even, and then it's new year, and next thing you know it's like June or mid-summer, the time just goes so quick.
They already have Easter merchandise in some shops I've seen.
No matter how I feel personally, I offer every other Grand Old teamer a belter of a christmas, and may you get what you wished for, and try not to over indulge with the liquor.
You'll only regret it in the morning.
