Gomes is like a younger more mobile Barry. Hopefully like Barry we will buy him at the end of his loan spell. The perfect combination particularly in home games. Gomes will be good for Davies to learn from as they are similar types just Gomes is more the finished article and Davies is just starting out. McCarthy dovetailed well with Barry so he'll probably be good back up for Gueye. Haven't enjoyed such a good blend in the midfield since Martinez first season. They also seem to trust each other!
Gana has always been boss, and he's now back to his best because he's not having to carry Schneiderlin anymore.

I reckon he'd just walk away running his fingers slowly through his thick, lustrous dark hair.
It's exactly what Silva / Brands envisaged when they brought him in.
