In reality if benitez was sacked Ferguson would be given the job on a caretaker basis. He should never be made manager until he has at least gone elsewhere and proven himself worthy. I hate using this fella as an example because i can't stand him but Gerrard has at least gone elsewhere to build his CV as a manager Ferguson needs to do the same and nobody should seriously think he deserves a go when he's no experience other than being a member of the backroom staff.
