LOVED it! I'm a sucker for boxing movies though. Strange, because I don't really follow boxing anymore though. The beast he beat was from Liverpool. Any of you lids remember that guy?

Gareth Bale got his brace right near the end. Which was disorienting since this was a boxing film.

I listened to some interviews with Bale and Wahlberg on the local radio station (KROQ, you may have heard of it ) This is Wahlbergs baby. He has been training and preparing for this movie for 5 or 6 years or something.

Christian Bale is amazing in this film.

Great movie for sure, more of a drama than the 'rocky' type of movie I was expecting. Still definitely worth everyones time. BTW I'm predicting it now, Bale to win Best Supporting actor at the oscars, no question. He was immense. Anyone know where I can put money down on it?

Watched it a few weeks ago, was a good film. I remember the Gatti fights but never knew the whole story behind Ward. He was a gutsy fighter and as said Bale plays the crackhead brother really well.
