Europe will ruin Palace next season as it always does to our midtable teams who sneak in and Glasner will probably get sacked even though it won't be his fault the team isn't big enough to compete in the league and europe at the same time
I reckon it might hurt their league position but Glasner will surely have plenty of credit in the bank to make it through the season; if they were to sack him, it would probably take a disastrous season on their part.

This is where sacrificing the league cup possibly comes into the reckoning. We've seen Villa suffer in part this season, so many games, so many knocks and injuries and travel and bookings. The champions league and Europa league and conference league are exactly that, all leagues. More games, more pressure, more physio, more for a club and manager to carry.

It certainly is less than ideal as every club wants to compete on all fronts which are available to it, yet it may be the best thing in the circumstances. The league format in the Europa League may work to Palace's advantage since they might be able to win their easier games and try their hands in the more challenging fixtures.

You never know, they might go far in that competition. Look at this season's finalists - Man Utd and Tottenham - two teams which could finish just above the relegation places in the league this season.

To be fair, as Spurs and United have shown, better to prioritise Europa league. Easiest way to get to the Champions League and get a trophy. Based on this season, you’d only need to beat the bottom four home and away to stay up.
