the kitbag deal says other shops aren't allowed to sell our stuff, although when we were with jjb they had to allow sportsdirect to sell some of our shirts, something to do with the monopolies commission i think.

I like the kitbag deal and the Le Coq stuff, best merch we've had for years.

But in regards to other stores selling out stuff outside of that....its all down to the people who run the stores etc and what they feel would sell. More stores will stock up on your Chelski and RS gear because they will sell more than the Everton stuff.

they aren't allowed to sell it, even if they want to they aren't allowed.

If thats true that kitbag wont allow other shops to sell our merchandise than yet again we have been screwed.

Tourist gift shops in albert dock can have red [Poor language removed] mugs and posters of gerrard and the lady boy but no sign of our more marketable players like cahill, arteta or saha, its pathetic.

1 step forward with kitbag with regards the new shop and range of stuff and then 1 step backwards with a stupid block on where we can sell it:@

You think that's bad... I'm from South Africa, you know, that place
that Peanut is from... And you would think that our stores would have a fair amount of Everton merchandise because our best player is a Toffee-boy...

But NO! Only Red-[Poor language removed] and manure CRAP! With Chelski and the Arse following behind... What a load of bull! I cant even walk into a sports shop, without getting the urge to throw-up my lunch!

That's pretty much the USA as well. If you go into a football specific store, you're gonna see the kits of all the "big" teams. But if you wanted a Everton, Hull, Fulham, etc... kit, you'd probably have to special order it.

That's why I think Donovan's presence with Everton might help. At least here in the States, we might start seeing more Everton merchandise.

Cant believe you have just grouped us with hull and fulham

Everton's new second-largest shareholder, Robert Earl, has been speaking about his involvement in the club..."I would like to think on the marketing side that I probably have a lot to offer. My involvement is to help strengthen the club, give them more money, give them more opportunities...I see myself as pretty knowledgeable on the merchandising side."

ROBERT EARL ON EVERTON – News Archive – News – evertonfc.com – The Official Website of Everton Football Club

"It's an exciting development in the club's history in that Robert Earl and his company have bought the Gregg family shares," said Mr Kenwright. "There are no negatives about that at all - it al looks very positive. His business acumen and his knowledge of sponsorship and branding and his vision are second to none. It's worldwide and anyone who can do what he has done is legendary in the world he's in."

Trend has been to plateau out though mate:

£600,000 added to the merchandising figures over the 4 years Earl has been on board tells me his self professed "knowledge on the merchandising side" isn't exactly paying dividends.

Which leads to the question: if he's not contributing knowledge or money, what is here for?

I'm eagerly awaiting a davek match report:

"Everton sank deeper into the relegation mix as they beat Man Utd 2-1. Although on the surface the victory papered over the holes in this season, manager Moyes struggled to put a brave face on the performance: 'I thought the boys were excellent", said Moyes. He must however be wondering why his side, cheaply assembled under the direction of disinterested West End 'impresario' Bill Kenwright, didn't put six past the current League champions. And the worrying trend of not taking chances when they were offered appeared to continue (that's enough now, dave, Ed.)"

You know it makes sense.
