The Everton Board Thread

Remember all those legitimate billionaires who chose not to publicise their wealth and got the Telegraph to write a piece about how they own a big building in Minneapolis? Me either.

We are choosing to be taken over by a mystery box and fear it's only going to end up going one way. Amazed at how positive the response is on Twitter etc.

Maybe it’s just this forum that’s full of glass half empty mardy arses :D

Lets be honest, most fans on twitter couldn't find their own arse with both hands lol

They'll buy Kenyons leaked statements to Law, read Esks claim that Thornton is worth £30+ billion and think we're "fookin rich" again ?‍♂️

Turkeys voting for Christmas springs to mind.

People wouldn't protest when the club was in crisis under Benitez and Moshiri last December. If they now decide to protest new ownership inside 6 months, then I would find it truly baffling.
You forget how much fans actually love bill and his cronies. Step off social media and GOT and there’s massive love in for him. Also people hate the 27 change or whatever it’s called and will do anything the opposite to it

Our management is responsible for establishing and maintaining adequate internal control over financial reporting. In connection with our management’s assessment of the effectiveness of our internal control over financial reporting as of December 31, 2016, we concluded there were two material weaknesses. Our management identified material weaknesses in internal control over financial reporting relating to our internal control environment and our period end financial reporting. In addition, we identified multiple significant deficiencies in our internal control over financial reporting.

3 years later the business register was revoked for failing to provide financial reports to the SEC on time.

Our independent registered public accounting firm has indicated in its opinion attached to its audit report for the year ended December 31, 2016 that there is substantial doubt about our ability to continue as a going concern due to our expectation that projected funds from operations, together with current cash on hand, will be insufficient to meet working capital requirements, to repay debt at maturity and other financing costs and to fund required capital expenditures and leasing costs.

We currently do not have available cash and cash flows from current operations to provide us with adequate liquidity for the foreseeable future. Our current liabilities exceed our unrestricted cash and we have very limited cash flow from current operations. As of December 31, 2016, we had unrestricted cash of $108,418 and current liabilities, unsecured debt, accounts payable and accrued expenses substantially in excess of the available cash.

All of the properties we own are subject to loan agreements requiring, among other covenants, compliance with certain financial and non-financial covenants. In the event we are unable to comply with the requirements of our borrowings, we may be subject to default, which could cause a lender to accelerate our indebtedness or to initiate a foreclosure action.

People still want this guy involved in our club?

I 100% guarantee you that in order to fund the stadium part of the deal they will obtain a loan from MSD Partners or someone similar using the stadium itself as collateral. It's how he's operated his failed property business.

Then there’s gullible people like you who see no wrong doing in Moshiri and think Usmanov is going to come back into the picture once the war in Ukraine is done, if ever, and that Moshiri needs another 2-3 years

What I would say to anyone that is feeling uneasy about this takeover is if Moshiri is truly committed to this club then he wouldn't even be listening to offers, Kroenke did it at Arsenal, Glazers have done it at United, Abramovich did it at Chelsea until he was forced to sell. All those owners have been offered billions and turned it down, the first opportunity has come up for Moshiri and he's open to it. The last thing we need now is some fella at the top of the house that couldn't really be arsed, especially in the financial state we're in and the need to pay for the stadium, Newcastle had the same under Ashley, just had a grip on the club, spent the absolute minimum and was just waiting to sell.

At least with these Americans every single thing that has come out about them in terms of the football side of thing is that they want us to be a massive thing for them, something for them to build off of and something that they want to make successful. I'm quite happy that we're not in talks with warlords or open criminals like other clubs, I mean even Usmanov is incredibly dirty and involved already here. Of course these lot aren't perfect but they're no where near as bad as some are making out. There's no reason for someone like this group to buy us for any other reason than it's a relatively cheap entry into the biggest sports league in the world and you only make money as an owner in this league by being successful, that's what they'll want with us.

If the worst thing we can say about our prospective owners is that they'll attempt to make us a global "soccer franchise" then by all means let them at it. They seem committed and they will want to make us a success. Moshiri has utterly failed so far, if these lot can come in and clean house, which they will, we'll be in an incredibly better position already.

Where was all this hit jobbing when Moshiri was taking over?

Hope you are right mate
