Always love the Dutch, even more so because of how much they underacheive if that makes sense? All the politics, cliques etc. That combined with some lovely footballers makes them a team I'm fond of.
I sometimes wonder how our history would have changed if Peter Johnson had hired Wim Van Hanegem instead of that tool Walter Smith. We'd have been back to playing football on the deck 15 years earlier than we did return to it again, that's for sure. Two Scottish primitives one after the other almost killed the footballing reputation of this club.
Right all the dutch have to do is beat Sweden by 7 goals to finish second in the group. They would need to win 7-0.They can't let Sweden score a goal.C'mon lads you can do it!lol That dutch team is very poor though.Only Daley Blind and Arjen Robben would get into the current Ajax side. That's how bad they are.
Just underlines for me that you dont go near that Dutch League to buy players. And you certainly dont pay massive prices for them.

They inflicted plenty of misery on Ireland over the years as well, in USA 1994 and that Euro 96 qualifier at Klanfield in particular. But i was never bitter about it.The Dutch were class that night in Klanfield. My love of Dutch football started from that Euro 96 qualifier match. They may be down at the moment. But they will be back on their feet, and entertaining us all again in no time.I can guarantee you that.

I’d rather see the Swedish birds tbh though the Dutch also have there fair share of tidy women supporters.
The best bit of the world cup is the pervy cameraman focusing on the lovely ladies of all the different nations. I'm hoping for an extraordinary effort in 2018 as it's being held on the dismal side of the iron curtain. I expect nowt from Qatar though.

indeed . Colombia provided the best women last time out . Argies not far behind

A 2-0 win for the Netherlands. Not that it matters.Sweet Jesus Ryan Babel in the starting 11.lol I just hope that the management now realise that it's time to blood younger players now for the Eure 2020 qualifying campaign. There is talent coming through and hopefully with a bit of patience and proper planning etc, the Dutch will be back as a force within 5 years.Im not sure will Mr Advocaat stick around as manager. If he is going then they need to make sure that the get the next managerial appointment right imo.

There was talk of Koeman being the next Dutch national team manager after the 2014 World Cup.Maybe they should go for Louis Van Gall again.Frank De Boer or Phillip Cocu maybe? It will be a big decision.Dutch football is at a crossroads imo.

They may want to wait another 3 or 4 weeks before making a decision.

Van Hanegem is seen as an absolute fruit cake over in the Netherlands.lol

This is a video of one of my all time favourite footballing moments. It was the third place play off at the 2014 world cup when the dutch beat Brazil 3-0.Daley Blind scored one of the goals and a nice video of Daley and his old man Danny celebrating the moment together.Danny had to wipe away a tear at the end as well.
