Yip.....that is exactly what it was, Doc......yet they were no more successful than we were during the lifespan of The Beatles.

We had two League titles and an F.A. Cup.....they had about the same.

Plus they had a Second Divusion title, which we never had a chance to win :dance:

But the city of Liverpool became synonymous with the nascent Swinging Sixties and the eponymous football team rode the wave better than us with their Ee Aye Addio and their rent a gob but nonetheless charismatic manager.

Hours after our first win in 11 mate?

Or more to the point comparing us with them straight away after they are chasing the title and we are lucky not to be bottom half?

You see where I am coming from? If the thread was about the game then fine, it was a 'we beat arsenal so let's compare ourselves with them lot' which I believe was highly unnecessary and a little cringey tbh.

Not really mate no, this site is full of insufferable thread police who feel the need to dictate to members what they can and cannot post, don't fall victim to the rest of the sad acts. Leave it to the mods to sort what's worthy and what isn't, and soak up the rivalry, you will appreciate it when we are buzzing 10pm on Monday.

Don't get me wrong I don't see anything wrong in doing the whole we are everton thing ahead of the Derby off the back of Tuesday night. We have threads on here where we can all still our tail feathers out and do the whole derby build up thing. Nothing wrong with any of that, just this thread in particular was a bit, well to avoid the swear filter, crap. One win and it is all let's compare ourselves to liverpool. I just think let's not, let's instead buzz off a win the next day, start a derby match thread and continue to post in the kopite thread laughing at them as usual.
