I seen him play v us home and away - a waste high tackle on HK cutting him in half meant he had to leave the pitch - an over the top Tackle on Moggsy who again had to go off for us never even got booked for.....he was not the only bite your legs player around at the time but it proved stepping up to play football for England he was not up to it........
RIP all the same tnough

He kicked him in the poo???? Crikey.

He was a good player though

He was an animal Eggs -awful player showed when he played for England never any class in him other than chopping players down at will .....

....that whole Leeds team were horrible, but they had some talent. Fortunately, we could mix it an outplay them. Hunter did have a sweet left peg and decent mobility for a defender of that era.

I think he was in the final 22 for the ‘66 World Cup but never played a part. Sadly, i remember the missed tackle on the half-way line in a qualifier against Poland at Wembley that cost us getting to the finals, and might have got Ramsey sacked.

And @roydo will remember his time at Bristol along with the likes of Joe Royle and Terry Cooper.

He’ll be remembered will Norman.

As bite your legs Hunter, he Tommy Smith, Ron Harris etc were all dirty players who could play a little bit, their main armour was being dirty players sad , but true....
they would no survive in today's game - players had skill and were chopped down - still sad news but don't tell me he was a class player non of the above were..... still sad news RIP

He chopped him in half waste height - HK had to go off - it was calculated to break up out Holy Trinity of a midfield - Brian Clough was not wrong when he took over at Leeds....... they could all play but Revie had instructions on how to harm , and cheat .....he got his comeuppance in a Bribe scandal many years later - that Leeds team could play great football without the dirty tackles which were too frequent.....by many of them......

Bobby Collins for example. Cracking player wasted there.

...I think it was pre-Revie but I’m reminded of the Bobby Collins tackle (on Geoff Strong I think) in the early minutes of the 1965 FA Cup Final.

Would love to throw a few left hooks at Keegan.

I'd love it, love it...

For some utterly obscure reason, as in, I havnt a clue why, him and Eddie Large were mates.

There is a photo of them getting bladdered in a pub near me. Like the photo is in the pub.

Maybe its Keegan being the Man City manager at one point in his career and Eddie Large being a massive City fan.... Or maybe they're both horrible tories and love Maggie..... Maybe they both hate Aldo, everybody else does.....
