Is he the first 'celeb' to go from the virus? I use the word celeb lightly, of course.
Depends if you're comparing him against the 'celebs' of today I suppose.

I suppose he is a 'real' celeb based on the fact that everyone in my family would know who he is, as oppose to some Instagram influencer that only kids know.Depends if you're comparing him against the 'celebs' of today I suppose.
No idea, but he has not been well for a time.
.....I recall you saying you regularly spoke to him on your deliveries, so I presume he lived in Bristol.

I'm not trying to belittle the virus but I recently read he was very very seriously ill in hospital with heart failure, i.e. it was a pray for him situation. Is he the first 'celeb' to go from the virus? I use the word celeb lightly, of course.

Large, whose real name was Hugh McGinnis, was born in Glasgow but grew up in Manchester. In recent years he lived in Portishead, near Bristol.
Lived in and around Portishead for 25 years, at least. Married a Bristol girl years ago.
Was a nice bloke, and we always had a natter about the football.
I saw him a couple of times at Goodison when we played City, late 70s, early 80s like you say had a bit of banter with the lads, seemed a decent guy.Large, whose real name was Hugh McGinnis, was born in Glasgow but grew up in Manchester. In recent years he lived in Portishead, near Bristol.
