Remember watching him as a youth for Villa in a kids game at Goodison and I thought he was the best player on the pitch and he was going big places. He had a lovely left foot and scored a few cracking goals. I always stuck a couple of quid on him for first goal when I was watching a game with him in just for sentiments sake.
Think you owe me about 40 notes Pete if you're reading this.

He had a good career in the game and seemed a really nice fella.

Very sad, big love to his family x

....FA Youth Cup Final I think, the one Rooney played in. You’re right, Whittingham was a stand-out.

Wasn't that the Wayne Rooney youth cup final?

Although me dad was a huge fan of country music, I don't think he ever thought much of Rogers.. Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, George Jones, Tammy Wynette were more his cup of tea. I liked Rogers, myself, and have a lot of fond memories that come to mind when I hear some of his songs. rip.
