...comics and SuperHeroes were never my cup of tea growing up and I have to admit to never watching this type of movie. I’ve not heard of this bloke but he’s clearly had a positive impact on so many and the world has been a better place because of him.

Christ Almighty...theyre oblivious to how insensitive they are when they're speed feeding their empathy signalling to social media. Nothing is sacred apparently. Yet with certain other matters they should acknowledge, they disassociate themselves by silence. Unbelievable….but then again.....

That tweet was by an Aston Villa fan. lol
Even they recognise and take the p out of Liverpool's hijacking of every event.

Extremely saddened to hear the news about Stan Lee. One of the all time greatest comic writers who along with Jack Kirby changed the genre forever and eventually helped take it mainstream. He was a true gent who was able to live his dream and lived life to the fullest right till the end at 95. Meeting him and getting his autograph is still one of my favourite childhood memories. For a nerdy kid like me it was just the greatest thing ever.

RIP Stan the Man, true believers will never forget, Excelsior!:(

Stan wasn't sole creator of the characters he was credited with (Kirby & Ditko deserve equal credit for this) but he was responsible for giving superheroes a human side. Without his 'soap opera' element the stories featuring the characters dreamed up by Kirby, Ditko et al would have been unreadable. Due to this, and more (referring to past events in stories whereas in the DC universe events that had happened in previous issues were never mentioned again) he redefined the comic boon genre in the 60's. There would have been no 'Silver Age' (it was known as the silver age but in reality it was the golden age) of comics without him.
RIP 'Smilin' Stan
