Geoffrey from Rainbow..

Never quite forgave Rainbow for taking the place of whatever programme had Hartley the Hare on it in my lunchtimes. Became an institution though. RIP.

...aged 76. I was a 60s child so I wasn’t a watcher of this programme but it seems Geoffrey Hayes has a few things in common with @Mikey_Fitzgerald. Geoffrey is from Stockport and is a fan of Scottish football.

A bit of trivia; Hayes asked the producers of Rainbow to make the Zippy puppet tangerine to match the colour of his favourite football team, Dundee United.
