Genuine sad news here Johnny Kingdom a wildlife presenter on BBC from the West Country has been killed in an accident at his farm.
When I first saw one of his recordings I thought it was a spoof, first of all he had a seemingly made up name,secondly he looked like Bobby Ball and then thirdly he seemed to have an over the top enthusiasm and a real yokel accent, I then watched the rest of the series and realised he was just being himself a charming, down to earth wildlife enthusiast with an extensive knowledge of the west country and a great passion for wildlife, his series then became compulsive viewing for me.
Sad loss, Great character.
