Know so little about Wolfe, but if you’ve never read The Right Stuff, you should pick it up today and read it. I’ll be picking up Bonfire of the Vanities soon, after I read TRS again.
True dat. If anyone thinks they know BotV by seeing the movie, they are sadly mistaken. Read the book.
To me, his late works are sadly underrated. Nothing has explained Atlanta (or the South of my lifespan, really) so clearly to the world as A Man In Full. There won't be any more like him coming around.
