With indecent haste the BBC and other British news gathering services have declared this a suicide in their headlines.

That's yet to be determined at this stage. No one is allowed to declare that on an official level and no matter if the family has declared this to be a suicide it's incumbent upon news teams to at least parenthesise or place in quotes the word 'suicide'. A coroner has to make that declaration.

This is how the establishment works.
Her family released a statement to NBC yesterday saying she’d taken her own life. The press are reporting that statement.

The BBC are reporting

“Virginia Giuffre, who accused Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein of sexual abuse, has died by suicide aged 41, her family has said.”

No need to put it in quotes or parentheses, as it’s a report of the families statement.

No. It's not legally declared to be a suicide.

No one can declare it so and all reference to her death should not give the impression it is settled...no matter if they're saying it's what the family think.

Christ, the line for communion at this thing is ridiculous. Ah feck who lost the collection basket!
Look, we were in the Orange Lodge (me grandad left in the 50’s coz he didn’t like the bigotry) but the MIL has this on the telly.

They don’t half love their pub games and pizzas don’t they?

So many songs about dominoes…..

They haven’t declared it so. They have reported the family statement.

Interestingly, the first few video reports in YouTube, from Fox News and Sky Australia both have the word suicide in the headline, BBC does not. So maybe not a British Establishment push to give the impression that it’s settled.

They changed that headline. I can assure you an hour ago that headline stated on the BBC "dies by suicide".

It’s odd to say 'don’t report what the family say's' - just announce she’s dead and let the conspiracy theorists have their field day?

Anyone who’s lived through sexual assault, been denied justice, and is now carrying the burden of physical pain on top of it, will understand her actions. I hope she can rest in peace now.

Ah Protestantism. Germans on the wrong side of history again.
