Saw Maiden with Di’Anno in Le Metro club in town back in late ‘79 - awesome gig, but less than 100 punters!
Was also at Reading Rock when they played in 1980, and ifrc, unbeknownst to Paul, the deal to replace him with Dickinson was done that weekend.

The deal was done mid 81 and Bruce played his first gig on Sep 26th.

The NOTB episode of VH1 Making of Classic Album series has Bruce talking about it.

It couldn’t have been 1980 as the band recorded Killers between Dec 1980 and Jan 81. Dianno then started the tour.

Saw them in Bristol as support to Judas Priest c1980. Didn't know much about them beforehand but came away impressed - still a fan to this day.
