I overheard a conversation between two red work colleagues discussing Everton who were much more complimentary then usual, infact I've been a bit shocked by their reactions to the way we've seemingly brushed off the last two seasons of mediocrity and pushed on, let's hope we keep it consistent and make them and the others hate playing Everton again!

The results so far have been good but it's more of a general feeling about the club rather than being happy we are winning.

Also worth noting, while we 'expect' points against Sunderland, WBA and Stoke, how many times have we started the season with a decent run of games and got maybe 5 points from 5 rather than a solid 10 points from 4? Not just under Martinez but under Moyes too.

Past two years it's been a case of 'dragging' my self to Goodison rather than the week going extremely slow because I'm dying to get back there.
Oh I totally agree. It doesn't stop the level of expectation though which is why, I think, we come away feeling disappointed so often.

Overall though, I think we are more disciplined in the way we approach games under Koeman so I think do believe we will perform better in these types of matches and see out more games when we are in a winning position.

Plus I think we are playing quicker tempo football that get's the crowd more involved. And we Evertonians do love a tackle don't we.

As I said, the litmus test will come when we play the other top teams.
