The ironic thing is, by reducing the top rate of taxation to 45% the government will probably receive more money from 'the rich' which will allow them to continue cutting tax for the low paid.

The budget in less than 50 words. Wages go up for the richest as an 'incentive to work'. Wages go down if youre not rich as an 'incentive to work'

Maybe you'd prefer that they started taxing income at £7k again, or if you think it doesn't make a difference to the "not rich".
