I'm goin Beatles all the way on this one. Just a shame that the world lost the best two first.

Paul can't sing anymore and soft lad, well, "peace and love, peace and love no more fan mail" get yer head down Richard you balloon.

Still my favourite band of all time though!

The thing I love about the Stones was the recognition they brought to America for their very own Blues artists. What they were producing was not really ground breaking. What I love about the Beatles is they pushed boundaries, they were massively creative and changed music forever. If there was an option to choose the Blues artist that the stones introduced I'd choose them but as there is not I'll do a homer and pick my home towns very own four lads who shook the world.

You can't compare them. I had all their records back in the sixties but I couldn't say which I preferred.

The Stones were dirtier and The Beatles more melodic, I suppose.
totally different bands the beatles wrote a hit for them early doors that says who was the best!
The Stones should retire they look embarrassing now - my older brother seen them live at new brighton tower, with the pretty things totally different sound - bluesy than the Beatles!

The Stones were more bluesy and The Beatles more music hall one could say. But it's turned on its head when you hear, say, Ruby Tuesday and She Smiled Sweetly by Dagenham's finest or Back in The USSR and Day Tripper by the Moptops.

If we all had to make a compilation cd with our 20 personal faves from both groups, I reckon it would be 16-4 to The Beatles for my taste.
