The bad ailment checklist

I did get the point there, chico! But I'm not injecting insulin yet, still on tablets for now as a Type II Diabetic. Sadly, one of my lads went down with Type I Diabetes a couple of years ago & so he was straight onto the insulin jabs & you do inject in the arse, in fact you have to rotate around a few locations & not keep using the same one. It's not easy trying to explain it to a little kid, but when it comes down to it without those jabs he wouldn't even be here now.

I know people who inject insulin and theyre rather blase about it when in all reality I'd be a crying mess as Im petrified of needles.

Admiration for your lad there mate.

My brother has had Diabetes for 18 years and been forced to inject himself with Insulin every day...if he doesn't he could go into a coma and possibly die-fact. But its never stopped him doing stuff, he just needs to think and plan more ahead than most people.Which should be easy enough for an adult ...but for a child its a different matter, But theres some really good research going on into this disease and although a cure maybe light years away, more "agreeable" treatments are not too far away, which hopefully should do away with the requirement to inject daily
