The back 4 are the problem

Well The Keepers a problem, the back 4s a problem, the midfields a problem, the attackers are a problem, the managers a problem, the coaching staff is a problem, the boardrooms a problem, so that leaves the kitmen and tea ladies.
Don't get me started on the kitmen and tea ladies. Bleeding useless.

Yeah he was always going to get 18 months but ideally 6 would of been better for us, now it's another big pay off from the Mosh
Length of contract wasn’t the real issue . Mosh will remove him when he’s ready. The value of the contract and therefore the size of the payoff was determined by the contract duration, that’s all.

The best player LOL. Have you watched Watfords goal . The guy is standing on the goal line, trying to get his head away from the ball, when Watfords center forward scores from 7m. Never thought about to close him down. Make it harder for him to score?
To be fair Williams was marking Deeney and he turned him in the box because Williams was too far away, and incredibly, slower than Troy Deeney. I believe Keene moved across the box to cover the assisters run in and got caught in no mans land because Williams let Deeney turn. either way we should not have been relying on solid defending to secure a point in a game where we dont have a solid defence. Clearly our best 2 fullbacks are injured and we do not have a strong CB pairing established.

Play the youngsters...

Pickford
Kenny
Garbutt
Keane
Holgate
Gueye
Davies
Vlasic
Lookman
DCL
Walcott

Subs

Niasse
Tosun
Siggurdsson
Klaussen
Rooney
Williams
Robles

That was dead funny, the sight of Williams being turned by a lard arse like Deeney.

The back four are part of a very large problem.

The stats from January speak for themselves yet Everton still persevere with one striker. Martinez, for all his faults had Lukaku - Koeman, Unsworth & Allardyce seem to think that deploying one bang average Centre Forward is going to propel us up the table, it’s complete delusion & dangerous.

Until Everton drop this frankly disastrous 4-2-3-1 system, we are destined to be served up complete dross. We do not have the players with the speed, guile, movement but most importantly, the ability to make it work.

He's a bit of a flake

Why do people keep trying to pinpoint the one problem when there are clearly problems all over the club?
The back line is the biggest problem with the team.

None of them can play with the ball and it means we have no other option but to start hoofing.

Don't think the back four is the issue, I think the rotation of them is! Also, Williams and Martina are two of the worst players I've seen at the club, never mind defenders

We could have bought players good enough to be cover for both full back positions and then bought another starting LB in the summer.

Coleman was back. Kenny can play both left and right. Mori on his way back, brought Mangala on loan.

Getting another clubs 3rd choice fullback or spending an inflated price for a Baines replacement in January to me isn't a good way of going about it.

Wait till summer. Walsh might be out the door by then. Could have a new manager too.

The defence is a problem. Of course it is.

But to me it's not quite the same issue as the one we have with the ball.

And this is the very danger with a manager like Allardyce. He is there to keep up solid - as much as he can - and then hopefully one of his better players will create a big of magic. This is especially the case in away games. At home we are gonna have more of it.

Listen, Martinez deserved to go at the end- of course he did. However, since him we haven't had a manager who is setting up and coaching the players on how to

Create pressure
Build pressure
Sustain pressure

Koeman publically voiced his preference for the channel ball when a player is under pressure. Unsworth wanted crosses with no real idea on how to get us into the crossing positions, Allardyce is very much sending us out with a defensive plan and no attacking one. He's reliant on Sig, Rooney and Walcott to create some magic. When they don't, we haven't got a clue.

So fine, defending better is a fine critique. But what about with it. At no point on the ground yesterday did it feel like Watford were hanging on. Because they weren't.

We are in desperate need of a plan. Whether that means we need this Fonseca fella in, I've no idea. I've read bits and bobs about Tuchel and he to me in theory fits the bill.

Coleman is coming back from a long term injury and besides I said cover. Neither Martina or Kenny is good enough so why not buy one for both sides then.

Playing a CB at LB isn't going to improve our ability to keep hold of the ball. It's something a Pulis team would do.
