The AGM

Taken from BBC Sport and it says it all.

From bill himself.

Often as a chairman you get conspiracy theories thrown at you and you have to say, 'guys, I'm not an idiot, I'm also one of you. Don't you think if there was a possibility of XYZ, that I would be jumping at it?'

Yeh, thats right HE IS ONE OF US. blokes acting like kids because the vote didn't go their way, pathetic babies in mens bodies.

Am I missing something here? Evertonians were asked to vote on the move to Kirkby having been informed by Wyness that there were no options, B or C. At the AGM yesterday, Kenwright disclosed that that Goodison and the Loop are in fact options B and C; albeit he has no idea how much it would cost to build a ground on these sites.

Surely the most ardent 'Yes' voter would now agree that this puts serious doubt on the validity of the ballot... or are you still too blind to see it?

For what it's worth, my take on Kenwright's comments at the AGM is that he is once more moving the goalposts, having finally realised that the proposed Kirkby development is not deliverable and that opposition against the scheme amongst Evertonians and Kirkby residents is growing by the day as the truth surfaces.

Get's the usual treatment over at TW

Get the Ritalin out for the hyperactive conspiracy children.

Question: What would happen if Kirkby fell through, Bill? (I'm paraphrasing to make it sensible and polite)
Answer: I guess we'd have to go back to Goodison and look at options there.

Cue: shitstorm. Mummy, mummy, he said there were alternatives, see, tell the fat man to go away. That nasty Bill lied to us. My friend who plays with lego in the sandpit built a model of the Loop site and that proves it would fit...

(I'm paraphrasing from reports on anti-Kirkby sites)

if the kirkby move falls through, and i dont like it even being mentioned, bill would have to walk, simply the straw that breaks the camels back.

i wonder if the club is borrowing against future tv cash stump up the cash that is our piece of the development, if so, whats the borrowing rate and is it secured on the actual stadium.

Well done Attr on 1,000 posts mate.

Why are we bedevilled with such a bunch of short sighted tossers as supporters. it has been proven that they are in the minority but as always they have the biggest mouths. Some of the crap that came out last night was petty, childish and a down right embarrassment to any fair thinking supporter. Who would you get to replace Bill, no one we'd be sold abroad like the [Poor language removed]. EFC run by a blue is the way it should be, he does his best and I support him to the hilt. This entire argument has been tossed round for longer than is healthy. Basically this minority will be happy to see us in some small clapped out stadium sited in the shadow of the monster the [Poor language removed] are going to build, get a bloody life and move on and out to Kirkby if that is what it takes. Dividing our club to this degree is just not worth it:angry:

Bill looked like he had tears in his eyes on Setanta, he looked distraught. This is the biggest debate since the club formed, and moving the club out of the city, will get opposition and doubters. People wont just lie down and let what they believe, the wrong move for the club, slight minority or not. I certainly have my doubts, but i see the positives of a move. Wheter i believe any situation will go ahead, i couldn't honestly say, battle hardened or just pesimistic? I think we can all be guilty of that at time to time.

I say well done to Bill for discussing it in interview on TV last night. Too often Bill only talks about the good sides of Everton and avoids the tough questions, so it was good to see him discuss that.

I feel sorry for the guy, he's put together a deal to get us a new stadium for a tiny price when we are absolutely skint and he's shot down as being the anti-christ to Everton.

We will die as a football club if we dont move on and progress, yet some fans want to just live in the past, they'd rather sit in a tin shed thats falling down while we're playing football in division 2, but at least they'll be able to say, "We still play at goodison and we're in the city!" Even though by that point Kirkby will be well and truly part of liverpool and the [Poor language removed] will be contemplating building a new 250,000 seater stadium.
