I remember in the old days of the letter's page in the Pink Echo.

An Evertonian would write in one week bragging about how we are the best team in England, historically, as we had one more matches than any other team.

The next week a Kopite would reply saying using that yardstick we are also the worst team as we have lost more top flight games than anyone else
