That substitution

Why?

Fulham were dead and buried.

We were under no pressure.

It was totally needless.

All's it did was invite them to make one last effort.

Yes, if you are clinging on with ten minutes to go I can see the logic of bringing on an extra defender.

But that wasn't the case today....and as a consequence two points are just chucked away.

Because Mirallas was dead on his feet and Anichebe wasn't on the bench.

He could have brought on Oviedo but he went with the older head, which I can understand.

And the sub didn't cause the conceded goal; Coleman did with an individual error.

The timing of the sub was coincidental.

The two points were lost because we didn't take our numerous chances (including a point blank goalkeeper-less goal for Naismith), and as a result of a defensive lapse by Coleman.

Bringing Distin on didn't cause us to concede, and the majority of managers make defensive changes when winning away from home.

Moyes is far down the list of people to blame for that draw imo.

Which doesn't address the point as to why the foot was taken off Fulham's throat when they were down and out, Tubey.

The substitution cost us the goal.

It wasn't. We were still attacking. Jelavic had a crap game and Mirallas was exhausted. The two subs were completely logical. No point in keeping attacking players on the pitch when they're out of form or knackered.

Forget the Miralas substituion....that wasn't an issue.

He was puffed out and he was replaced by an attack minderd player....in fact, Naismith should have made the game safe.

It was taking Jelavic off and sticking on a another centre half that was the problem.

That was just saying to Fulham "come and have a go if you think yer hard enuff".

And guess what?

They were.
