What they don't say is that this was all building since Thatcher and her right to buy scheme good idea initially but the money never went back into housing it got spunked elsewhere and not spent on new social housing, forcing a whole generations to come to either rent privately at higher rates or get high rate mortgages that they could barely afford leaving only the bank's making money, and boy did they get greedy!!!
