My missus has bought me fathers day lunch and tour (have to wait till June) around Goodison.

Apparently not only do I get to go in the changing rooms tunnel etc .. I also get a "Gourmet Meal" , Pie with Mash and Chang with a dash of lime perhaps.

Anyone else been on one of these, any good?

Shame it's out of season so no chance of bumping into anyone exciting

I went on a tour a few years ago, it was Dave Hickson who was the guide then, not sure if he's still doing it. It was great, you get to go everywhere like the press conference room, changing room, pitchside etc.

You must be on a deluxe tour though, we never got lunch when I went but it was a great day out. Hope you enjoy yourself mate.

Ohhh . You'll SOOOO bump into someone exciting ...

( IF you count myself and Everton Tony as exciting that is .... )

err right , you'll have to excuse my ignorance here as I'm still new to the forum so haven't worked out who people are yet.

Either your closely tied to the club or you're on the same tour

I've been on the standard tour (without nosh). It was great value for money, might go again and slip a note on Kenwrights chair. Make sure you take a camera with you, I took loads, even the urinals in the changing room.

it's great to go - every blue should do it.

been a couple of times and you do get all messy walking up the tunnel steps to the pitch (still dreaming!)

Guess I'm one of the few to walk through that tunnel on a match day.
And it was the derby when big Dunc scored his first goal for us as well.
Was there on a ST John Ambulance duty and had to go through the tunnel to get from the first aid room to where we where stationed during the match

Bit of a read this one, and bugger all help to the original poster but thought I'd share my "Goodison Tour" story.

Whenever my old fella would bring me down to the games as a boy, we'd go to Goodison either the day before the game, or the day after, and just have a wander round the outside. Spotting a groundsman or security guard or the like, me dad would call them over and give them the "we've come down from scotland for the weekend for the match, whats the chances of coming in, take a few snaps, that sort of thing." Not once were we told no, only to be careful by the pitch. One time we tried it, Sharpy was there, doing an interview, and after he'd finished, came over to give me an autograph. My dad gave him the "down from Scotland" chat and before you knew it, he was giving us a guided tour round the inner sanctums of the ground. In all, he spent about 45 minutes to an hour taking us round, telling us random facts about different areas, what had gone on in this room, so on and so forth. Needless to say, a wonderful man sharpy and a true great in every sense.

For me, this is what sets this club apart from the rest.
